The singleshaft system employed in the EZ 100 is largely invulnerable to metal components, nails or clips. Operating reliability is ensured by a series of innovative individual features e.g. a pendulum-type pressurising mechanism which effectively pre- vents the shredded material from clogging and permits processing of long components parts. This eliminates machine stoppages through obstructions.

Thanks to its hinged hopper, the EZ 100 is exceptionally easy to maintain. Operating costs are reduced in other ways, i.e. both the rotor and the countercutters are equipped with disposable and reversible cutting inserts. When worn, they only have to be replaced The EZ 100 universal shredder decisively reduces dumping and disposal costs.

Function description

Bulk material is automatically drawn into the shredder by the rotary motion of the shaft acting in conjunction with a hydraulic pressurising mechanism and shreddered.  A screen located below the shaft determines the fragment size. Various screen sizes are available.

• The drive system and shredding mechanism are electronically monitored and thus protected against overloading.
• The shredding mechanism is a slow running, low-noise system.
• The rotor consists of a nondeformable solid steel cylinder.
• The disposal cutting inserts are distributed in a spiral pattern around the circumference of the rotor and are easily replaced.
• Two countercutters made of tempered steel and equipped with disposable cutting inserts are mounted on each side of the shaft.
• Precision cutting ensures uniformity of the shredded material and long life for the cutters.
